Psychology

Our expert team of doctoral level psychologists provide the full range of personalized mental health and behavioral health services for children, teens, adults and their families. We promote physical and psychosocial well-being by using evidence-based techniques to assess, treat and prevent a wide range of conditions.

Our psychological services address a broad spectrum of concerns and life stages. Examples of challenges include but are not limited to stress, sleep problems, anxiety, depression, weight issues, trauma, substance misuse, early psychosis, smoking cessation, developmental issues, ADHD, mood, menses and menopause, women’s sexual health, acute, chronic and life threatening physical conditions, infertility, families navigating pregnancy complications and high-risk infants, loss, and complexities of life struggles and transitions. We recognize that there is no “one size fits all” approach and adapt our recommendations and interventions to the age, sex, gender, identity preferences, needs, culture, and social contexts of our patients.

Our psychologists see patients and families in primary and specialty medical and mental health settings in hospital, outpatient, and community locations. We provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy, health and behavior assessment and treatment interventions, pre-surgical candidacy evaluations, psychological, neuropsychological and developmental testing, and cognitive rehabilitation, in addition to other psychological services.

We offer consultation and care through both in-person and virtual telehealth sessions. In addition, our psychologists are readily available for educational programs on health and mental health topics to promote wellness.

Our team of CU Medicine psychologists collaborate with your healthcare providers. This means you'll receive the latest evaluation and treatments that are backed by research and tailored to your needs. Experience the difference that expert, interdisciplinary care can make and ask your medical team for a referral to our psychologists today.
