What are the current COVID-19 guidelines for CU Medicine?

To schedule an appointment for an in-person visit and/or telehealth virtual visit, search for your clinic and call them directly to schedule an appointment.
For your protection, we have implemented the following procedures:
- Symptomatic patients will be directed to schedule a virtual visit and be sent for testing, if necessary.
- Call your provider or schedule a Virtual Visit if any of the following apply to you:
- New cough, fever of 100.4°F or greater, or shortness of breath in the last 72 hours OR
- Two or more of these symptoms that are new in the last 72 hours: Chills, muscle aches, severe headache, sore throat, runny nose, vomiting, diarrhea, loss of smell or loss of taste.

When should I arrive for my first appointment?
Please plan to arrive at least 15- 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete the necessary forms and paperwork.
What do I bring to my first appointment?
We encourage new patients to please always call your clinic location ahead of your scheduled appointment to confirm the information needed.
If you're a New Patient, generally, it always beneficial to please bring the following information with you to your appointment:
- Past medical records related to your diagnosis
- Radiology films such as X rays, CT scans, PET scans and bone scans with reports (if applicable)
- Pathology slides with reports (if applicable)
- Questions for your physician
- Your insurance card and co-pay
- A valid driver’s license and any completed forms (if applicable)
How far in advance can I cancel an appointment?
We appreciate 24-hours notice when canceling an appointment. Please call your clinic location directly to cancel your appointment at least 24-hours in advance as some clinics require this window to cancel.
How do I schedule an appointment?
To schedule an appointment with a CU Medicine provider, please visit our request appointment page to get started. From there, you can search for a provider, a location near you or a specific specialty.
What should I do before making an appointment with a specialist?
Most insurance companies require a referral from your primary care physician prior to visiting a specialist. Please call the clinic location directly for additional information.
