Our CU Medicine expert team of Voice, Airway, and Swallowing specialists offers the comprehensive range of treatments for laryngeal, tracheal, and upper esophageal diseases. All our specialists are fellowship trained, providing state of the art care while pushing patient care frontiers through clinical and basic science research.

Patient care is provided through both in-person as well as telehealth modalities. We are also one of the only centers in the mountain west that provides patient care in an interdisciplinary setting. This generally includes a physician working in tandem with a speech language pathologist from evaluation through treatment. In addition, we have multi-disciplinary teams that include asthma and allergy, pulmonology, gastroenterology, neurology, rheumatology, infectious diseases, and cardiothoracic surgery. Our specialists provide services at multiple University of Colorado Health locations across the Denver metropolitan area, as well as at National Jewish Health and Craig Hospital.

Our speech language pathology team includes four certified speech language pathologists. They are fellowship trained in evaluation and treatment of professional voice, dysphagia (difficulty swallowing), chronic cough management, inducible laryngeal obstruction (vocal cord dysfunction – VCD, paradoxical vocal fold motion – PVFM), and gender affirming voice and communication.
