Abdominal Imaging
CU Medicine offers advanced abdominal imaging services, using state-of-the-art technology to detect a variety of conditions.
The Abdominal Imaging Section provides services in all aspects of ultrasound, body computed tomography (CT) and body magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Ultrasound services include prenatal ultrasound, abdominal ultrasound, including the liver, gall bladder and kidney, as well as vascular ultrasound.
Ultrasound units are capable of pulsed, color flow and power Doppler. CT and MR services include diagnostic studies of the abdomen and pelvis, as well as vascular studies including MRA. Additionally, ultrasound guided neck biopsies are also performed by the Abdominal Imaging Service.
