My many clinical interests include congenital colorectal problems such as Anorectal and Urogenital malformation (imperforate anus, cloaca, cloacal exstrophy, vaginal agenesis); Hirschsprung Disease; Total Colonic Aganglionosis; Bowel Management (fecal incontinence and idiopathic constipation).
Care Philosophy
I strive to provide the best surgical and clinical care for my patients. I believe in devoting time to patients and family explaining and discussing prognosis, long-term expectations as well as surgical reconstruction and possible future implications. I also believe in following our patients throughout life.

Personal Interests
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with family, watching good movies, and practicing outside sports (running, biking, swimming). I also enjoy traveling the world to try to improve colorectal care for children everywhere.
Volunteer Activities
Traveling the world to try to improve colorectal care everywhere. I have traveled to more than 30 different countries to give lectures and live surgical demonstrations on how to treat congenital colorectal problems.

My research interests are primarily focused on long-term outcomes of patients born with Hirschsprung disease, imperforate anus, cloaca anomaly, idiopathic constipation, and colorectal problems. The surgical reconstruction and associated malformations. I also believe in education and helping other countries to achieve excellence upon treatment of these conditions.
