Dr. Blakeley-Smith is an Associate Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Pediatrics at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine. She received her PhD in clinical psychology in 2005 and specializes in developmental disabilities, most specifically autism spectrum disorder. Dr. Blakeley-Smith co-authored a CBT treatment manual, Facing Your Fears, for children with autism and anxiety. published in 2011 along with Drs Reaven, Hepburn and Nichols. Dr. Blakeley-Smith is an investigator on a randomized clinical trial exploring the effectiveness of Facing Your Fears adapted for autistic adolescents with intellectual disability. She is involved in teaching at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus and is the training director of APA approved clinical psychology internship in the Department of Family Medicine.
