Research Interest for Referring Providers
The research in my laboratory focuses on genetic diseases that arise from genomic rearrangements such as microdeletions, microduplications and translocations. Based on the discovery of pathogenic variations in patient samples, we are now focusing our efforts on the characterization of the genes and genomic regions that are implicated in disease etiology. I also have a long standing interest in the elucidation of the mechanisms underlying the rearrangements that lead to genomic disorders.
