I am nationally recognized for my expertise in pediatric hepatology and liver transplantation and cystic fibrosis liver disease. I have additional interests in chronic viral hepatitis, pediatric acute liver failure and chronic pancreatitis. I work closely with patients and families to find the best approaches to care to meet their needs.

My research focuses on new therapies for children with hepatitis B and C. I lead a large study that is trying to develop tests that will predict which patients with cystic fibrosis are at risk for the development of advanced liver disease

I am interested in pediatric hepatology, liver transplantation, chronic viral hepatitis, pediatric acute liver failure, cystic fibrosis associated liver disease, and health care delivery.
Research Interest for Referring Providers
My research interests include clinical studies in children with biliary atresia, clinical trials and transmission in chronic viral hepatitis, hematologic and immunologic complications following pediatric liver transplantation, improved diagnosis and treatment of cystic fibrosis-associated liver disease, and clinical trials in acute liver failure.
