Clinical Interest for Patients
My clinical interests include heart failure, cardiomyopathy, heart transplant, and failing single ventricle heart disease.
Care Philosophy
I believe every child is an individual and deserves individualized care by an expert knowledgeable in treating his/her heart disease. I strive to explain the heart condition carefully and thoroughly, to understand the treatment goals of the child and family, and to help the child enjoy time outside the hospital doing what children should be doing: growing, thriving, and living the best life possible.

Research Interests for Patients
My research interests focus on improving clinical outcomes for children with cardiomyopathy and those after heart transplant. I participate actively in the Pediatric Heart Transplant Society Database which includes over 5000 children who have undergone heart transplant. I also participate in the Pediatric Cardiomyopathy Registry investigator group to understand how to improve outcomes for children with cardiomyopathy so they can live longer, fuller lives without heart transplant.

Research Interest for Referring Providers
My research interests focus on clinical outcomes for children with cardiomyopathy and those after heart transplant. I participate actively in the Pediatric Heart Transplant Society Database which includes over 5000 children who have undergone heart transplant. I am particularly interested in ABO incompatible heart transplant and in prevention and treatment of antibody mediated rejection. I also have an interest in cardiac recovery in children with dilated cardiomyopathy to avoid or delay transplantation.
