Clinical Interest for Patients
My research interests include shared decision making and the ways in which it can promote better care for children who are medically complex. I have looked at how physicians and families make decision for elective surgeries like feeding tube insertion or surgery for gastroesophageal reflux.
Care Philosophy
I believe that the best medical care for children uses shared decision making where families and physicians share their expertise and preferences to arrive at the best treatment plan possible. I try to understand the hopes that each parent has for their child and family to make sure that all treatment aligns with those goals.
