Care Philosophy
My primary role as a clinician educator is to provide clinical care and medical education on HIV prevention and treatment. I am the Medical Director of the Colorado AIDS Education & Training Center and of the IDGP PrEP Clinical Program at University of Colorado Hospital. The PrEP program provides comprehensive HIV prevention care and training for primary care providers and trainees. PrEP stands for pre-exposure prophylaxis, medication taken to prevent HIV. We offer TelePrEP, a completely virtual clinical program to provide clinic visits, lab tests including HIV/STI screening and medications for HIV prevention. We also provide in-person clinical visits. We have a dedicated PrEP coordinator who can help with accessing and navigating our services. Anyone in Colorado can obtain access to PrEP via state assistance programs and other resources. Our program's goal is to serve our community to empower people to remain free of HIV and healthy in Colorado!
