Clinical Interest for Patients
My clinical focuses include the diagnosis and management of stable coronary artery disease and peripheral artery disease as well as the acute management of heart attacks. In addition, I have a strong interest in aggressive preventative therapies to reduce the risk of having a heart attack using lifestyle changes and established medical therapies, as well as offering options for investigational prevention therapies when appropriate for the individual and their goals. I participate in several preventative therapy trials including anti cholesterol and anti-inflammatory drugs after heart attack, in addition to renal artery denervation for management of resistant high blood pressure to reduce lifetime cardiovascular risk.
Care Philosophy
My goal in clinic is to inform a patient about their cardiovascular risks, then listen to understand their unique values so we can choose the best treatment path forward that aligns with their short and long term goals. This includes through lifestyle changes as well as medical therapy, percutaneous intervention, or investigational therapies when they are needed to achieve these goals.

Research Interest for Referring Providers
My research interests are in preventative and interventional therapies for coronary artery disease. I am a site investigator for the SPYRAL AFFIRM trial which evaluate renal artery denervation for treatment of resistant hypertension, principal investigator for the ARTEMIS trial evaluating anti-inflammatory IL-6 inhibitor following myocardial infarction, and principal investigator for the RADIQAL study evaluating innovative technology for radiation reduction during coronary angiogram procedures. I am also site investigator for the EVOLVE-MI trial evaluating PCSK9 inhibitor after myocardial infarction.
