At the Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering, we specialize in empowering individuals with disabilities through cutting-edge assistive technology solutions. Our dedicated team is passionate about enhancing independence, communication, and overall quality of life for our clients.
What We Do
Assistive Technology Assessment: We conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the most suitable assistive technology solutions tailored to your needs.
Assistive Device Training: We provide thorough training and support to ensure you are proficient in using the assistive devices that enhance your daily life.
Customized Solutions: We design personalized assistive technology solutions, ranging from communication devices to mobility aids, to address unique challenges.
Who Pays?
Most, though not all, of our clinical services can be billed to the individual’s private health insurance, including Medicare and Medicaid, under the plans’ outpatient physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy benefits. For services not covered by health insurance, we accept payment directly from the individual, from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation, or other disability services organizations. Our Clinic Administrator can help you determine if your health insurance plan covers the services that you need, and assist with determining other funding sources if needed. To inquire about our services or schedule an appointment, please call our front desk at 303-315-1280.
Who We Serve
Individuals with Diverse Abilities: We support individuals with disabilities to improve the overall health and function of children and adults across the lifespan through the acquisition and use of appropriate assistive technology.
Families and Caregivers: We assist families and caregivers in understanding and implementing assistive technology solutions that best support their loved ones.
What We Don’t Offer: Traditional Therapy Services
Please note that the Center for Inclusive Design and Engineering does not provide traditional therapy services, such as Physical Therapy (PT), Occupational Therapy (OT), or Speech-Language Pathology (SLP). We specialize exclusively in assistive technology solutions.
Choosing the Right Path
If you believe you or your loved one may benefit from traditional therapy services, we recommend reaching out to your primary care provider, orthopedist, or head and neck specialist. These professionals can assess and guide you toward the most appropriate therapy options based on your specific needs.
