The group is backed by the University of Colorado Cancer Center, the only National Cancer Institute-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in the state. This enables these nationally and internationally recognized medical experts to rapidly translate laboratory discoveries into patient clinical trials and new treatments, delivering world-class cancer outcomes.

Our gynecologic oncologists and advanced pelvic surgeons offer cutting-edge medical interventions including Hyperthermic Intraperitoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC), minimally invasive surgical options, individual genetic testing and access to clinical trials. This precision medicine provides tailored cancer treatments and therapies for each patient so they have the best response with the least side effects.

Advanced care close to home

In addition to the CU Cancer Center on the Anschutz Medical Campus, patients can receive care at two CU Medicine Gynecologic Oncology locations – CU Medicine Gynecologic Oncology — Highlands Ranch Specialty Care Center and CU Medicine Gynecologic Oncology — Colorado Springs. Additional clinical practice locations include Denver, Fort Collins, Grand Junction, Nebraska and Wyoming.

As an academic research leader, the division of Gynecologic Oncology conducts extensive clinical trials and funds ongoing research to pioneer early detection methods, prevention initiatives and groundbreaking treatments for ovarian, uterine, cervical, vulvar and other gynecologic cancers. The Ovarian Cancer Innovations Group spearheads translational research to accelerate development of new ovarian cancer therapies.
