Health Insurance Exchange Plans That Include CU Medicine

Plans expand options for patients who seek care from CU Medicine, UCHealth and other providers.

Patients looking for health insurance on the individual market in metro Denver counties will soon have new options that include CU Medicine and our partner, UCHealth.

Open enrollment begins November 1 on Connect for Health Colorado, the state’s health insurance exchange, and people will be able to choose from a variety of plans that will be effective on January 1.

Individuals in most metro Denver counties will be able to choose from two plans on the exchange for the 2022 plan year that include CU Medicine and UCHealth:

  • A new plan called Oscar Colorado Partners Choice will be available on the exchange with a start date of January 1. This plan will include CU Medicine, UCHealth, and Children's Hospital Colorado.
  • The original Anthem Pathway plan, which was removed for 2021, is being added back to the exchange. The plan will be available during open enrollment with a start date of January 1, and will include CU Medicine, UCHealth, and other affiliates in-network.

Open enrollment runs from November 1 to January 15, and plans have effective dates of January 1 or later.

Premium subsidies may also be available based on an individual’s or family’s income level. Individuals may also compare different plans and benefit levels to determine the best option for them.
